01 — The company
Farhan Exports began in 2001 with a handful of benches and a single article — a hand-stitched belt for a German importer who still places orders with us. Everything built since rests on one commitment: the second shipment must be indistinguishable from the first.
Cutting, skiving, stitching, finishing, inspection and packing take place on our own floor in Kanpur. One team is accountable for your order, and one set of records sits behind every article number — from the hide lot to the carton mark.
02 — Collections
Ask for an article number and you receive a specification sheet — leather, lining, hardware, dimensions, weight, packing and price basis.
03 — Materials and finishing
Hides come from tanneries we have worked with for two decades, and every lot is inspected before it reaches the cutting table. Shade cards are sealed with you before bulk begins.

04 — Craftsmanship
Four stages, each signed off before the next begins, with a written record kept at every one.
Stage 01
We work from your tech pack, a reference sample or a sketch, and come back with a pattern, a material plan and an honest costing.
Stage 02
The sample is made on the machines that will run the bulk, then sealed with you so there is a physical reference for the order.
Stage 03
Hides selected against the sealed shade card, panels laid to the stretch direction, and stitch count fixed per article rather than left to the operator.
Stage 04
Four inspection points, pull tests on load-bearing parts and metal detection on every piece, then retail-ready packing and the full document set.
05 — OEM and private label
Most of what leaves our floor carries someone else's name. Send a tech pack and we quote against it. Send a reference sample and our pattern room develops it. Send a sketch and we will tell you what it costs to make properly.
Terms are indicative and confirmed per project.
06 — Export markets
An order is not finished when it leaves the floor. Our documentation desk prepares the set your clearing agent expects, so goods are not held at a port waiting on a certificate.
07 — Compliance and testing
Azo dyes, chrome VI, formaldehyde and pentachlorophenol tested through accredited laboratories.
REACH and SVHC statements, material composition and country of origin with every shipment.
Nickel release testing on buckles, zips and fittings, with pull and fatigue tests on load-bearing parts.
Audits supported on your standard, with records and worker documentation available for review.
We have never chased the largest order. We have chased the buyer who comes back for the fourth season, and then sends us their friend.
08 — Before you enquire
If something is not covered here, put it in the enquiry form and an export manager will answer it directly.
Yes — it is most of what we do. Share your brand direction, the articles you are considering and any design references or a tech pack. We come back with a pattern proposal, material options and a costing before any sample is cut.
The article type, approximate quantity per article, destination country, preferred leathers and hardware, branding requirements and your timing. If you are still exploring, a short outline is enough to begin a useful conversation.
As a working reference: 150 pieces per article per colour, samples in 10–12 working days, and bulk in 45–60 days from a sealed sample. Both are confirmed for your specific article, because construction and leather availability change the picture.
Always. We inspect at four points as standard to AQL 2.5, and your own inspector or a third-party agency is welcome on the floor at any stage, including during production rather than only at the end.
Chemical testing through accredited laboratories, REACH and SVHC declarations, nickel release on hardware and material composition statements. Tell us what your market requires and we will confirm what we can issue for your order.
